Snowdrops and the Garden in Winter
Date: Saturdays, 8th and 15th February, 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Ballyrobert Gardens boasts over 250 varieties of snowdrops, ranging from large whites to charming yellows. Join us to see and learn about these stunning plants glowing in a winter garden full of interest, from charming cyclamen and hellebores to the red and orange stems of willows and dogwoods.
Maurice will demonstrate how to position snowdrops for the best effect, propagate them, and care for them. You will also learn how to create sculptured willows and dogwoods and discover their purpose in the garden.
Charge: £25 (includes refreshments).
Attendance: Limited to 30 participants per session. Groups of at least 15 may book alternative dates during the snowdrop season.

50 of the Best Performing Plants at Ballyrobert Gardens
Date: Saturday, 31st May, 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Ballyrobert Gardens houses one of the largest collections of plants in a garden open to the public in Ireland, with thousands of different plants in every colour, shape, and size.
At Ballyrobert, our philosophy is to grow high-quality, top-performing plants. During this event, we’ll showcase 50 of the best plants for this time of year. Will "Spotty Dotty," "Ginger," or the "Black Grass" make the list?

Combining Plants for Best Effect
Date: Saturday, 26th July, 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
The unique design of Ballyrobert Gardens offers countless opportunities to display plants creatively. This event will focus on combinations especially suited to home gardens.
Seeing is believing, and this event will provide practical insights rather than just theory.

Propagation Our Way
Date: Saturday, 16th August, 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Join us for our popular hands-on propagation workshop, which has been enjoyed by many gardeners over the years.
As a business, we propagate plants in large numbers and have developed the most effective techniques for a wide variety of plants. Participants will have the opportunity to take home their own propagules.
Materials: Plant material, tools, and equipment are provided, but feel free to bring your own.
Attendance: Limited to 20 participants.

Creative Wild Gardening
Date: Saturday, 13th September, 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Explore Ballyrobert Gardens and uncover the many unique "creations," from natural pears to clouded hedges and a giant spiral—all designed for the benefit of wildlife, the climate, and our own wellbeing. Many of these ideas are applicable to even the smallest gardens.
Immerse yourself in this distinctive garden with its creator, Maurice Parkinson.
